Willenhall Town FC seek Manager for Season 2018-2019
So the season has ended and we are now looking to appoint a permanent manager moving forward to next season.
We are always up front about our Club so there are some challenges to face.
Are you up to the challenge?
We are, (although as yet not officially confirmed) facing starting the season in Division 2 of the West Midlands (Regional) League, so applicants need to be aware of this and not be phased by it. Willenhall Town FC fight every challenge head on, on and off the pitch. We were written off 7 seasons ago but have battled against the odds to still be here today.
We also, as ever do not have a playing budget. The ethos of our Club is that everyone does their role on a voluntary basis, so this needs to be considered by any applicant. Players, management and officials.
We are planning to stay at Wednesfield FC as our home ground this season, having been invited to do so, so that is all but sorted but continue to aspire to one day getting our own ground and work with local movers and shakers to try and achieve this.
We have a small group of volunteers, namely a half dozen, all of whom have official roles but also double up working on the gate, cleaning changing rooms, preparing food and fetching and carrying. The successful candidate will need to echo this ethos.
Our aim in the short term is to get back up the League and into a higher division. This is going to take time, commitment, tenacity, connections for players, and a grim determination to work side by side with the Board to get back to where we should be.
So…are you up to the challenge?
We are recruiting in a slightly different way this time, and with a quick turnaround!
We are inviting expressions of interest initially so if you feel you can face the challenges ahead, please email the chairperson on the following address. email@example.com
We will then send you the questions that we would normally ask at interview and shortlist based on those answers.
We will then select our top candidates for interview.
Closing date for expressions of interest is 5pm Friday 25th May 2018.
We look forward to hearing from you.
