The Lockmen succumbed to a pre-Xmas defeat after being outplayed for long spells.
The Lockmen could have guessed it was not going to be their day as early as the third minute when Nathan Ensor was fetched down on his way to goal by the defender, the official didn’t even speak to the effender. Shaun Thomas then forced a good low save from Bromyard skipper Alex Rhodes on 4 minutes before Cory Ensor hit a screamer from 35 yards which flew over on eight minutes. However, the home side were to go into overdrive from the twenty minute mark with Reds keeper Chris Adamson making four excellent saves and one which was out of the very top drawer to keep the scoreline goal-less. Carl Guinn lobbed just over from 25 yards in a rare foray before the homeside broke the deadlock with a well worked goal, Jake Hollylee supplying the finishing touch on 41 minutes after an intricate passing build-up.
Cory Ensor and Reds skipper Richard Wharton both went close before Adamson made a couple more brilliant saves. However John Trindade and scorer Hollylee then combined 64 minutes, the latter providing a cross that was headed home. Adamson then made two one-on-one saves, standing up to deny a third goal and then made a stunning one-handed tip over to deny the hosts. However, even he was powerless to prevent Ryan Glenister firing home a hotly disputed 25 yard free-kick that kicked up off the turf and diverted beyond the reach of the outstretched Adamson
